LANXESS Shanghai Pigments’ daily commitment to safety rewarded

Highlight in LANXESS’ China long history – IPG site achieves 3000-days safety record

On Oct 24 2012, LANXESS Shanghai Pigments, located in Taopu (Shanghai), and its employees wrote history by achieving an outstanding safety record: no injuries or recordable accidents have been recorded for 3000 days (above 8 years).


This great achievement is definitely a result of the dedication and safety awareness of all employees in all departments.


The IPG site in Taopu was founded in 1995 and is LANXESS’ oldest production site in China. The site has a capacity of 35,000 tons of milled iron oxide pigments and runs at high capacity utilization for the last years.


Safety meetings, discussion of equipment improvements and potential safety hazards as well as near miss reporting are their regular measures to guarantee a safe workplace and safety attitude.
