Since the heavy metal content of pigments used in this application is regulated in some countries, LANXESS offers high-purity pigments. For example, Bayferrox® 920 Z Paper. The Z-Grades are specially certified for applications where the colored products are directly in contact with human skin. Certain legal requirements have to be fulfilled and a high level of skin tolerance has to be ensured.

The paper industry has high quality standards and LANXESS therefore provides a palette of Bayferrox® grades which have been tailored to the needs of the industry. All pigments are specially tested and packed in water repulpable bags. The closed bags can be directly added to the pulper without dusting. Bulk bags are also available.

The pallets are marked with the quality label "Tested Paper quality". All deliveries are accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis which lists the data of the particular batch. In addition, LANXESS runs a modern paper laboratory to solve application and technological problems for our customers.
